The edition is devoted to the 200th anniversary of M. Y. Lermontov and was designed in blilingual form - with a parallel text in the English language which will ease understanding of any complicated paragraphs dramatically and ensure correct development of the reader's wordstock. The publication also contains pictures by M. Y. Lermontov, 'Caucasian' works by his contemporaries, and beautiful illustrations from the first editions of the novel.
